Today's Arabian Business (http://www.arabianbusiness.com/555220-car-hire-firms-warn-cross-borders-trips-need-permission-) column is cautioning car renters to get an NOC (No Objection Certificate) to allow them to take rental vehicles out of UAE:
Car hire agents have urged people not set off on cross-border trips before obtaining a No Objection Certificates (NOC) from them, or risk being stopped and turned back by birder [sic] police.
Didn't realize you guys were such a bad lot you needed your own police force ...
