Can they differ in pattern?
Wow, awesome coloration....... Didnt know wasps had Harlequins in them as well.........
Hi Peter
Potter Wasps (Eumeninae) do seem quite variable, and the females are not the same as males either. Check the pair below, which I’ve had identified (by Dr Josef Gusenleitner) as Ischnogasteroides leptogaster leptogaster. Also potterwasp15 is the same species.
My other two are Delta campaniforme gracile (potterwasp10 and 4), and I think yours are as well.
Cheers

Thanks Huw.
That what i thought as well. but always good to have a pro check them out.
Also identified by Dr Gusenleitner were these four species of Eumeninae.
Potterwasp16: Delta dimidiatipenne
Potterwasp14b: Rhynchium cyanopterum
Potterwasp13: Paramischocyttarus subtilis
Potterwasp18: Delta hottentottum elegans
All from Wadi Tarabat and Wadi Nahyan (April 2010)

Hi Huw
this photo that i submitted before can it be the same as photo 14b.Rhynchium cyanopterum
If it is great.
Thanks Cheers.
Hi Peter
Almost certainly for me, although I’m no expert.. Structure and colour all very similar, and mine here (http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/7693885_yNWsp/2), has a blue sheen on wing-tips like yours, and that one is Rhynchium cyanopterum (identified by JG).
I agree that Dave’s, on the same page, is Delta dimidiatipenne. Also on the same page, Ryan’s at the bottom looks quite original, but could be another variation of Delta campaniforme gracile.
In here (http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/7693885_yNWsp), I think Yousef’s must be Delta dimidiatipenne.
Have you got ant more from the DDCR?
Cheers
Huw
