Pelagic 6th August 7-10 am

Met up with Derrick and the boat and we set off in very calm seas at just after 7am. Spent the first hour around the Kalba and towards the Oman boarder There were many terns mainly all bridled sitting on the bouys, one Brown Noddy and one Pom Skua. Headed north and spent some time of Fujairah Port Beach but very few birds. Headed back down to Kalba and picked up three more Brown Noddy’s and a Wilson Storm Petrel which we gave chase but it was not very obliging. I can see a chumming session coming.

I have been checking up on Skua's and I now believe that the Skua on Friday was an Arctic. Although it looked heavy and big the black cap does not extend far enough around the gap and the dark vent is to limited.
