Hi all
Its been a while - hope you're all well.
I'm feeling well connected with the UAE at the moment having seen Andrew Ward earlier this week then spending the last 3 days on a minicruise across the Bay of Biscay with Oscar... not to mention several weeks revising the Rare Birds of the UAE so as to represent OSME in the Birdfair 2010 Bird Brain of Britain (http://www.osme.org/) quiz.
Talking of OSME, I know many of you are members (and/or already contributing articles and images to Sandgrouse, the twice-yearly OSME journal). If you're not joined up your support would be really appreciated - its a small charity which collects, collates and publishes data on all aspects of the ornithology of the Middle East region. Better still, if you join now (http://www.osme.org/osmejoin/joinosme.shtml) you will get the latest issue of Sandgrouse which comes with an all-important supplement: The Checklist of the Birds of the UAE!!
(For those not aware, this was a huge labour of love for Tommy and Simon in particular)
