There would be a pelagic trip on 1st of December with Abdulla boat at 2:30PM 2 seat already occupied one of them is Steve James. there still more space onboard. BTW masked booby still off-kalba yestarday.

Looks like there is a cyclone off the Oman coast - don't think it is supposed to hit Oman - but doyou think Abdullah will want to take the boat out in heavy seas?

Already Steve called me to contact Abdulla if the border guards can provide any info about it. I will post the updates for safety reasons.

cyclone is far.. impact is low.. however, a medium wind and waves are building up starting 12PM tomorrow... (as multiple sites suggests)

i think abdalla would get better forecast..

As it turned out, the sea was far calmer than expected, with a 1m swell and slightly choppy waves. We've certainly been out in rougher stuff. For December, birding was pretty good with the following the pick of the bunch:

250 Persian shearwater
1 Great cormorant
200 Socotra cormorant
100 Red-necked phalarope
2 Arctic Skua
1 Common Noddy
2 sea snake sp
