These photographs are possibly of the same Garden Warbler in the Front Wood near the villa but I certainly had a second bird in the Back Wood.

After the 18 hour slog-fest to the East Coast and back yesterday, all I needed was a lie in this morning. However, I somehow managed to haul myself out of bed with the sole intention of finding a...
Looks like a really dusky Common Nightingale to me. It's quite warm above and has a lot of rufous in the rump and tail. It also lacks the malar stripe and white throat of Thrush Nightingale. I reckon...
The River Warbler was still there this afternoon creeping around by the collapsed wall. I left Oscar there at around 4.30pm. He's probably still there!
Top bird, though.

Was too windy. The coastguard were saying boats could only go out 3 miles. We called it off.
The next pelagic is planned for Al Qua'a, I think.
Any seabirds?
Flying north.
Just spoke to Nick on the phone... The bird was an adult with full tail-streamers but just a fly-by unfortunately.
Crikey!
There are a couple of areas of water to the north of the farms. The Black-winged Pratincole was there this morning with a few Collared Pratincoles.

Lesser Kestrel... yes.
But your swallow is a Wire-tailed Swallow, just missing the tail-streamers.
Well done Mohamed. An excellent find!
"whilst having a drink" or "after a few drinks"?
Whinchat and Ortolan Bunting.
Both species moving through the UAE on Spring migration at the moment.
Pretty hard going on the East Coast due to the gusting wind and constant suggestion of rain. At one point, my tripod blew over.
A fair selection of migrants was on offer but all in low numbers. An...

After slogging away for two weeks in the Philippines, it was nice to get back to some easy birding.
MPG's was alive with migrants.

That pratincole looks interesting, Reza.
Collared Pratincole should have a white trailing edge to the secondaries and the upperparts of your bird do seem dark. Any more shots? Particularly of the...
Slightly anxious in Abu Dhabi... with bated breath!
Any sign of that eagle...? Looks very good for Lesser Spotted.
Made the bunting-dash straight after work today and was not disappointed. The Cretzschmar's Bunting was in the usual place and was pretty easy to find but it was great to see the place absolutely...
I was cursing Oscar for making me trudge around Emirates Palace in the pouring rain... until we ran into this guy.

Pallid Swift (Apus pallidus) 15

Hi Josh,
What sort of time did you have the vultures exactly?
And was it from the road?
And I'd be rather interested in whether there's a Himalayan among them.
