Nothing really exciting during a half-hour's drive around the desert surrounding the camel race track yesterday morning, but some good records for this under-watched area:

2 Chestnut-bellied Sandgrouse (10 feet from the car!)
1 Asian Desert Warbler
3 Grey Francolin
1 Chiffchaff
1 Desert hare

Absolutely no migrants in the nearby hotel/golf-course grounds during an hour's walk.

Slowly getting used to this new format - it's growing on me, Tommy. Nice work in getting the thing fixed again.
