Hi,

We are coming to Dubai in a few weeks and although we want to spend the majority of our time doing all the touristy activities I would like to do some birding. I will be visiting the central parks but I noticed that there is large shopping mall close to Pivot Fields. If we were to get a taxi to the mall would I then be able to walk on to Pivot Fields/Warsan Lakes? Are the local taxi drivers familiar with these birding sites?

Regarding Crab Plovers, what is the closest site to central Dubai (we are staying at The Novotel Deira) and is it feasable to get a taxi there?
