Hello there,
Just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of resources for learning about the marine life in the Arabian Gulf, particularly the fishes and invertebrates. My daughter and I were exploring the breakwaters at Mamzar Beach Park in Dubai yesterday, and we're totally intrigued by the species we encountered, only a few of which we could actually identify. One species that was surprising was Atlantic Porkfish--there were two of the end of one of the breakwaters. We love watching the Sergeant Majors and Dark-spotted Butterfly Fish. Any ideas for guides for identifying our mystery fish?
Thanks,
Greg

(and I happily added a life bird yesterday as well...a Striated Heron was working one of the breakwaters.)
