    Default black eared kite??

    hi guys..

    i cant make anything out of this.. i can only think of black eared kite...

    found in Humranyah fields last Friday before going into a birdless sea. :P...

    Hi Ahmed

    this is certainly a Black Kite. I am not exactly sure if it is Black-eared Kite ie definite lineatus and that we can rule out eastern migrans but it is showing some features of the former taxa (and that, of course, is what most winter UAE kites appear to be). I don't have any books to hand here in work but will have a look tonight when I get home.

    yes... you are correct ... it has features of both m.lineatus and m.migrans but i think it tends to carry more lineatus than migrans features (raptors of the world)
