At the tag end of a biz trip to Lusaka I managed to find a great bird guide based in Luska. His name is Lesley Reynolds of Lapwing Safaris. We visited 3 major sites just 45 minutes north of the city centre and managed 130 birds in a day, very good for the time of year. The areas were based around Chisamba; open woodland with figs for the endemic barber (the second bird of the day), miombo woodland near the Protea Safari Camp and Hunter's Farm ( a huge private farm with reservoirs).
