For the 25/8, add 1 spoonbill, 1 male Little Bittern, 1 Slender-billed Gull, and 1 Ruff to Jacky's list.

I had a female Little Bittern on the 20th August.
Were they ever proven to have been breeding last year?

    Hi,
I had a pair there on May 5th , then 2 observations of a single bird, on 6 July, and 1st August, (but I didnot record the sex...).
    They might well be breeding.
Dave Clarck was searching for prove of breeding, last year if I remember well. He can tell us more, if he read this post...

Hi - nice to see the little bitterns are still there after all the changes around the lake in the past 6 months - although I can not definitely prove it (with photos) the little bitterns almost certainly bred there last summer - the adult male and female were there all summer and on occasion I would see both of the adults in the open with another (that I could not see only hear) in the deep reeds (would not/could not fly).
