Black-crowned night heron (Nycticorax nycticorax)
These birds are commonly seen in the UAE. Last weekend (29th May), at Al Quadra, within one cluster of Reeds, there were 7 of them waiting for a meal which I have never seen before. At another location there were 3 more. Great opportunity to observe them.
