    Eurasian Shorebird Survey

    in  UAE - general birding

I would like to invite you to participate in a new bird monitoring program to be carried out from January 2021. The program uses eBird. This is a great opportunity to grow our network. The program is for monitoring migrating shorebird populations in the Eurasian and North African region. This voluntary based citizen science program will give us a better picture of the directions of shorebird population changes. Simply use the eBird username worldshorebirdsday (without spaces) to share checklists with us. You can share checklists in the field directly from the eBird mobile app. World Shorebirds Day needs to be added to your contacts.

Please consider helping us with your regular counts on one or more locations. Find more details under this link and register your site today to know where we stand.

This is a different level of program to the Global Shorebird Counts. The more sites we can involve, the better.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.

    Very best wishes, Szimi

Interesting idea. I hope there is another Eurasian Shorebird Survey for 2021. Are the results shown to the public or are they for the researchers’ eyes only?
