A day well spent birding at various places in Dubai. Two Black Drongo (Dicrurus macrocercus) , possibly one is same return bird of last year another is new one.

Out for a while in Qudra , among commeners, counted 14-Greater hoopoe lark ,a pair of white stork , 12-pairs of Eurasian Spoonbill and 05-Collared Pratincole.

A species of huntsman spider indigenous to the sand dunes. Cebrennus cf. castaneitarsis. A sand doweling spider , a large sparassid with an eye pattern consistent with Cebrennus found during y'stay night trail.This is thought to be the spider responsible for most of the sand-doweling burrows observed in desert areas. Very difficult to ID them but expert opinion are more than welcome.

Finally after a long time , tick marked a long pending species from UAE desert.An unexpected encounter. "Arabian Wonder Gecko (Teratoscincus scincus)" , one of the largest nocturnal gecko species in the UAE. IUCN status: Critically endangered. Found right at the middle of the city (very unlikely).

Need help to ID these pipit , Location : Sharjah Seems last one is water pipit to me and first and second are Long-billed pipit .

Folk of eight Sociable lapwing(Critically Endangered) near Sharjah university , today.

Been to Salalah for two day for new year eve , this place is amazing . Not really been for birding but this place is full of wildlife. Sharing here some images which were found without any major efforts. Need help ID for pipit. Check image below please. Need ID for above pipit.

I've photographed Pharaoh eagle-owl in UAE but have noticed the morph changes as per the habitat that they live. Here are some images , taken over a period of 10-yrs; would love to have feedback from experts.

Tawny Pipit, Anthus campestris , at Al Qudra.

Waited almost 5-yrs to see this beauty. Two Greater Hoopoe-Lark present at Al Qudra near the lake after Bab Al Shams resort by the side of the cycle track.

I know ID is a big problem with pipits. I guess this one is Long-billed Pipit but I'm also inclined towards Tawny Pipit as well. Appreciate help please. These images are of same bird. Two of them were present at Al Qudra near the lake after Bab Al Shams resort.
