saw this duck this morning, bab al shams desert lake. I suspect a common pochard female. What do you think?
Need help to ID these pipit , Location : Sharjah Seems last one is water pipit to me and first and second are Long-billed pipit .

Hi Vlad Only Ferruginous Ducks have this white under-rump. Quite certainly a released bird.

I was confused by the black eye - I was expecting a white eye for the FD. Now I looked deeper and on HBW the female is indeed drawn with a red eye :)
