    Little yellow bird

    in Identification problems

    Hi all,

I was at Mamzar this morning for good couple of hours and nothing interested was found except for couple of Redstarts some Chiffchaffs and a lone Red throated Pipit.

Need help for the ID of the little fellow (extremely sorry for the poor quality and that was the only shot I got). Black and yellow striped feathers and blackish face with yellowish head and body with the size of a white eared Bulbul.

It was nice to meet Mr Greame Linglay and we were both hunting him without luck as soon as it flew away from the spot.

Either the Village Weaver or Lesser Masked Weaver that has been reported here. I'll ask Graham when he comes over to my house for dinner in a few hours :-)

Thanks Tommy for your prompt response. Unfortunately Graham only spotted when it flew away :-) Maybe he saw it again i dont know. I hope he found the one he was looking for today.

    Hi Tommy,

Are the above mentioned Weavers escaped birds?
