    Superb Starling bonanza in

    in UAE bird sightings

    Sharjah Univ Campus 23 Jan 2019





    Sharjah university 23 JANUARY 2019 after We moved from Khor al Baidah : me+ Dr Shamshad Alam, Syed Ismail and Mohammad Shafwan, of Dubai Safari Conservation Team

    Indian roller - 17

    Superb Starling - 25

    Common Hoopoe - 07

    White Wagtail - 11

    Red-wattled Lapwing - 07

    Asian Pied Starling - 2

    Rose-ringed Parakeet - 2

    Grey Francolin -1

    Graceful Warbler - 1

    Common myna - 80+

    White-eared Bulbul- 5

    Red-vented Bulbul- 2

    A few years back I had seen less than a dozen Superb Starling and half a dozen Indian Roller from the entrance to the AUS-campus and back to the main entrance i.e. on either side of the entry road.
