As a part of our weekly field survey Dubai Safari Conservation team headed by me and joined by Dr Shamshad Alam and Mohamaed Shafwan. On 11 March at 7 am we reached the Hatta Hill Park for surveying birds and other wildlife. We found a flock of more than 20 siskins I have posted the bird info in EBIRD. Unfortunately the ebird is not allowing me to add Euarsian Siskin Spinus spinus in the checklist. I do not know the reason. Could any or all ebirder help me. Thanks in advance. Looks like the species name Carduelis spinus in this UAE checklist is now invalid(!) and the genus has been replaced by Spinus, as per ebird and the HBW Live.

Is it a Pond Heron or Squacco in subadult plumage Al Qudra Lake 10 July 2019

Today I found at least 3 of these in Naad Al Shiba Pond

There were 2 Honey buzzards and I could only get a shot of one.

I could not g et a better picture than this as it was mid day in Al Qudra Lake on 18 April 2019

Outwardly it looked more like a Greater Whitethroat. Saw it in Hatta Hill Park yesterday

This is bad picture as it was heading inside a thicket by hill behind Hatta town yesterday morning. I have no better shot than this one. Sorry.

looks like Daurian in some form seen in Hatta Lower Dam below the highway leading to Omani border yesterday. It was very windy afternoon. So can't see much of the wings.
